We just got back from Rome.
Easter in the center of the city: tourists everywhere, gelato in hand, chiesa after chiesa. But the moment that stayed with me was Villa Borghese.
The park is free. Beautiful, sprawling, open to everyone. You could spend a whole afternoon there and leave happy.
But inside the Galleria? That's where Apollo e Dafne lives.
Bernini carved that sculpture: the marble looks like it's moving. Dafne's fingers turning into branches, Apollo reaching, the whole story frozen in one impossible moment. You don't stumble into that by wandering the park. You have to choose to go in.
We went for a picnic and hadn't bought tickets. To get in, we had to queue π
and only 13 people without a ticket are let in per hour, at full price.
The ones who planned ahead? Already inside.
That's exactly how I've been thinking about what just happened in Gamification Lab.
We hit 101 founding members. The free experiment is officially closed.
101 people planned ahead. They got in before there was a price tag, and will stay as long as they are active.
And now, like the Galleria, there's a ticket to get inside.
New pricing:
- π± Starter β β¬12/year (yes, that's β¬1 a month)
- π Sprinter β β¬9/month
The Lab is still open. We've just kicked off our new sprint β The Welcome Effect β and there's still time to jump in.
It's a 3-day sprint focused on designing your onboarding experience from the ground up: mapping every touchpoint a new member hits from the moment they join, using our 3 Ingredients Framework.
By the end you'll have a mapped (and ideally partially built) welcome experience that makes new members feel seen, guided, and rewarded from day one, so they stick around instead of disappearing after week one.
If you run a community, a course, or any kind of program, this is the work that changes everything at the start.
Here's something to sit with this week:
Are the people in your audience wandering the park, or are they ready to buy a ticket? And is your offer giving them a clear reason to choose to go in?
Hit reply and let me know, I'd love to hear where you are with this.

Warmly,
